Glen Lake makes for an excellent, easy day hike in the Bitterroot mountains near Victor. Nestled at 7,600-feet and less than three miles from the trailhead, the small lake attracts plenty of visitors, so don't expect a lot of privacy on weekends. But it's a lovely walk through the blackened remnants of forest burned in 2006, with open vistas of the Big Creek drainage and delightful wildflowers recolonizing the slopes.

Intrepid hikers will find two more, unnamed lakes by following the faint trail deeper into the northwestern corner of the cirque.
